Path of The Master Game Report

by Colin Hoeg

The new day brought many who sought The Master's aid. A delegation from Nemedia arrived, then some Stygians, a group of Corinthians and, finally, a party of Aquillonians. All came because they felt no one but The Master could solve their nations problems. So, they entered The Master's Testing Grounds, desperate to prove their worth and win salvation for their kings and countrymen.

They would face many tests, some physical, some intellectual, but the most important would prove to be the spiritual, for by overcoming their basic fears and prejudices they would discover that by cooperating with one another, instead of competing for The Master's prize, all could benefit and be saved. Thus all were saved by each other, The Corinthians lived up to the reputation of their Thieves Guild by knowing all the answers. The Stygians and their priest, Slav'Dor Drach'Flach'Ner began creating a legion of undead by reanimating one of the rare mindless undead to be found roaming about. The Nemedians bravely, or perhaps brazenly, fought the Ice Drake, not their area of expertise, unfortunately. The Aquillonians, however, made short work of the dragon and his master Tachron Storm.

Also, unknown to all, perhaps even The Master himself, Lord Zakkarr, the evil war mage of Jendia, was skulking about seeking to steal the power of The Pact for himself. There was also a rumour of a beholder who got snuffed. This years test did not take long, as the delegations encountered The Master's minions, one by one, and gained wisdom. They quickly realized that their priests carried the keys to their salvation. In the end all delegations were joined in friendship and brotherhood and all realms were saved from the imminent demise that brought them to The Master.
