I hope everybody is ready for the Holiday's and the New Year. Rumor has it that Nick will win a best costume award for his red and white costume. I really liked the beard!
"Mouth of Madness Game Report"
Excerpts from the diary of Noah Whatley. (Discovered by Inspector Devine at the Dunwich House.October 28, 1921 My contacts in Washington were correct in dispacthing the team of agents here to "investigate". They have caused enough commotion to cover up our activities here in Ark ham. They even arrested that bothersome O'Donnel, who will now be less than cooperative. Simon has been leading Miss DelRey carefully alone with the others and will bring her to me when the time is right.
November 1, 1921 My brother has gathered two groups, but even as the research at the accursedly guarded Library, the more they discover, the closer they come to Shub-Niggarath. The reporter Maximillian Dent leads the others down the path of true knowledge and enlightenment.
November 3, 1921 The day has arrived, along with the investigators. I despaired momentarily as my brother appeared, and the spear of the elder thing's was recovered from it's watery resting place. The Bureau intervened in time, stopping any cooperation between the Boston Globe reporters, and the Miskatonic University professors, feeding the Deep Ones a most generous meal. The only disappointment was that Simon was caught in the crossfire. This year I won the battle, bringing Shub-Niggarath into this realm for an entire turn of the globe. As she fades back into the nether realm, the few survivors who know of her greatness will be brought back to Arkham, when the time is right, and the cycle complete. The Mouth of Madness will be fed!

Props Report
This is just a notice to remind all of you that utilize our Props Deptartment that the building props is housed in actually belongs to someone. Namely Paul Verreault, who is not pleased with the condition of the building when props are returned. It seems a lot of people just dump the props in the middle of the floor, hoping that some kindly gremlin will put them away for you. It does not work that way, frankly Paul, Sheldon, and myself are a little tired of picking up after you. If you grabbed a weapon or costume off the rack then you obviously know where you swipped it from, please be so kind as to return it to the same spot. Actually so long as it is put away, we would be happy. Numerous Props are getting broken because they get l eft on the floor and someone steps on them in order to get something else. So from here on if you want to borrow a prop sign it out and when your done with it sign it back in and put the prop back where you got it. I don't think that is asking too much. I f members don't start following this procedure we may lose that building to house our props!!

If everyone on this list pays for their membership/game fees, Fieldtrip would have enough money to pay for the cardstock that we bought and maybe even enough to think about Fieldtrip sponsored First-Aid training and FFTS T-shirts. Please contact Chris Stockley to pay your fees."Breakfast of Champions"

"Come children, gather round." The old man wheezed. "For I have a tale to tell of our history, and of the peace that many of you have known all your lives. A peace that now may sadly be at an end. Our clan, the Orlinthi, have always had three enemies over the years. The clans Durin and Resburin, as well as the barbarian raiders to the north. Generations have known naught but bloodshed and hatred, until the rise of the good king Otto of the house of Matix."
"Eight years ago", the man smiled toothlessly, "Otto brought the clans together and in his wisdom gave us the gift of peace. In return, we recognized King Otto Matix, the first ruler of these combined lands, as our soveriegn. Every year we send ambassadors to Castle Matix to renew the peace and to air greivances. This year our ambassadors had gathered to meet, and when the king joined them a strange fog fell upon the group. Each of us felt our limbs grow heavy with paralysis. We hea rd the king cry out but were unable to move! Once the fog lifted, a few moments later, we saw the king's guard dead and the king missing!" "Where he had stood there was a note which said..."
╔══════════════════════════ ═════╗
║This fool's peace is at an end!║
║Ever has our clan been the ║
║strongest and now that Matix is║
║gone our rightful place to rule║
║shall come to pass!! ║
╚═════════════════════════ 552;═════╝
"The note was unsigned and did not indicate which clan. There were many who dismissed the note, but enough grabbed its words as an excuse to bring forth the old hostilities, that peace has ended. There is only one alternative to all out war. The ancient arena, where old wars were settled by contests of champions! Each of the clans are seeking champions to fight for them, and once one emerges victorious, that clan will rule. To this end, my children, the rest of us leave tomorrow to seek out a person to whom we must entrust our fate." At this the old man stood tearfully and moved silently from the fires light.
NOVACON REPORT
I would like to say something nice about Novacon, really I would, but the only thing I can think of, is that we got some more newbies out of it. All and all, this year's con was really apathetic, major league dead. A week before the con it did not look like Fieldtrip could afford a society room at the con. When Kevin showed up at the con and they asked him when were we opening our room, he said " We have a room?", and hastily beat feet over to props to load our room. We were billed in the program as running one demo in the Ogre Ogre room (yah, as if were are going to stick to one little 10 by 10 foot room to run a demo of twenty to thirty people, I don't think so!). Fortunately, I hastily threw together a demo early sunday and we ma naged to get things going without too much feet dragging, and heads banging into walls. With only a meager three games scheduled in the games room, and all of those on saturday, I really wonder how much longer Novacon will survive if they don't do some ma jor house cleaning. For all those of you who contributed to lessening the madness in the Fieldtrip room here is a little reward for your greatly appreciated efforts, Thanks one and all!
