Game Report

Ramart's Revenge (see Ramart's Massacre)

by Brad Filippone

The Convention of Nations, the annual peace conference between the Seven Nations, was anything but peaceful. Queen Emilia's old family enemy, Ramart, as feared, invaded the CON, wreaking havoc on everything and everyone present. O f the seven monarchs present, only three survived (although, it is to be admitted, King Woedron of Askraat sort of brought on his own death).

Word had been received that Ramart was at the conference disguised as one of the many people present. Extra precautions were taken to protect Emilia. As well, Gwendolyn, the missing princess of Rytinia, who once was married to Emi lia's father, was also present doing her best to annoy every person she came in contact with. Needless to say, she didn't survive, dying shortly after her sister, Queen Beliza.

Many demon attacks planned by Ramart caused problems for the guests too numerous to mention. He succeeded in secretly disenchanting the spell placed on Emilia long ago to protect her, and in the midst of yet another demon attack, r evealed his disguise to be that of Iain MacGregor, one of the Queen's own guards! He almost succeeded in killing her after she fell unconscious in an attempt to escape, but King Raf of Breel picked her up and ran with her to safety. King Valovak of Dorv a also escaped the demons as did William MacGregor. Kroedron, acting King of Askraat, succeeded in wounding Ramart with the Blood Axe, rendering him vulnerable, before falling himself. The other followers of Emilia, Connel MacGregor, Barclam (who along with Kroedron almost succeeded in killing Ramart himself), Shellia, as well as almost all of the other delegates, were killed by Ramart and the demons. Also among the dead were King Ramirez of Lilania and King Dacere of Mekeron, the latter's brother havi ng turned traitor and joined Ramart.

But Queen Emilia has survived, thereby ensuring that Ramart still has not taken over Worthania. But what is her next move? Now she must hide, as her protecting spell is now gone, secretly meet with her allies, and formulate a plan . And meanwhile, what will Ramart be doing...?

For all of you brave souls who stood out in the rain that weekend and laughed in the face of mother nature (or whimpered incessantly) here is your due.

Event Report

1st Annual Fieldtrip BBQ + Point Grab

This was a party/publicity shot for FFTS, held at the Point Pleasant Park on Saturday, August the 10th. The idea was to get a lot of folks together to have fun and earn a few points. We started off with a scavenger hunt which includ ed getting ten signatures of park goers and what animal they would most like to be! We pressed on to Tug o' war (Dan cheats), Marathon croquet with Fieldtrip weapons (Heather won handily), Egg Races (Jody and Wally are far too fast) and many other fun and exasperating events. Unfortunately, not too many people showed up, oh well maybe next year when you all know what fun you missed!

Upcoming Game

"Neo-Olympics"

August 30, 31, Sept 1, 2

by John Lovin

By the year 2066 man has dictated technology as the sole evolution of the human race. Therefore the olympic motto "faster, higher, stronger" should not apply to the human spirit and stride, but to the advancement in technology. Ever y four years companies with their advancements chose their athletes to represent them in the Techathalon, the only Olympic game.

An unpopulated world is the arena, the athletes are brought together and the hunt begins. Athletes hunt each other or battle in pre-arranged combats, if victorious they gain victory points which they may use to enhance their technol ogical edge, thus increasing their companies stock portfolio, and perhaps to achieve the greatest of all dreams, the Olympic Gold Medal.

The rules of the Techathalon are as follows, each athlete MUST clearly display their company logo at all times. Long range weapons will be reduced to short range. Athletes will gain victory points based on an "odds" system, the high er the odds against you the more victory points you earn IF you win.

This season the Neo-Olympics are sponsored by The Blue Blazers, The Hong Kong Cavaliers, The Jamacian Voodoo Hitmen, and the World Wide Federation of Children.

"The True Evolution of Humanity is our technology"

This is a +20pt participant game (you may buddy up with one other member) at Camp Harris. To join call John Lovin, Russell Rait or the Board Member nearest you!
